Al Ain, 15 July 2026: The fourth edition of Al Ain Summer Sports (AASS) at the ADNEC Centre Al Ain is attracting families and sports enthusiasts to its comprehensive air-conditioned sports, community and family experience. AASS 2026 runs through August 19, 2026, offering residents a full summer of activities.
Organised by ADNEC Group in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, sponsored by ADNOC and supported by Modon, AASS 2026 transforms the summer season into one that promotes community health, offering large, air-conditioned spaces where individuals and families can stay active. In alignment with the UAE Year of Family Initiative, AASS 2026 offers a variety of fun, cultural activities and entertainment for all family members, creating a complete family experience throughout the summer.
This edition has been the support from several government entities including the Department of Culture and Tourism, the Department of Education and Knowledge, and the Department of Community Development, who are providing a series of cultural and educational workshops, as well as health and wellness activities.
AASS encourages the community to engage in sports and physical activities while adopting healthy lifestyles in a safe and comfortable indoor environment. It welcomes visitors and participants of all ages and sporting interests daily from 6:00 AM to 1:00 AM. Additionally, over 71 events and activations will take place throughout the summer, including community-themed events, organised competitions and team tournaments.
Key events and activations taking place throughout July include the AASS Padel Tournament, activations from the Al Ain running team, free Al Ain Chess and Mind Games Club classes, and the Sanad Community Health Walk. The Department of Community Development will be organising Degayeg Path to 5K, offering a coached programme helping beginners build confidence and endurance towards running a 5 kilometre.
This year's edition features an expanded offering across 22 courts, fields, pitches and fitness areas, offering 13 different sports and entertainment options for visitors of all ages to enjoy. Padel has been the most popular amongst visitors so far, with other sports on offer including football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis and action cricket taking place for the first time. For younger visitors, there is an inflatables obstacle course for ages six and above, the Thamrh Kids Zone for ages up to 12 years and the Activate Abu Dhabi Kids Gym.
The venue also features a fully equipped gym and running track, complementing its diverse recreational offerings. Visitors can further enjoy a selection of games available throughout the facility, including chess, foosball, and carrom, all accessible free of charge.
The AASS Kids Camp is up and running offering an action-packed summer experience, combining a wide range of sport with educational board games, as well as team-building activities that promote fun and friendship. Beyond athletics, the camp encourages creativity through arts and crafts, storytelling, and various art activities, providing a well-rounded environment where kids can stay active, develop new skills, and make lasting memories.
