Al Ain, November 27, 2025: The second day of the inaugural the International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition - Al Ain 2025 successfully closed on a high note, welcoming eager crowds of hunting and outdoor sports enthusiasts from across the region. Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Al Ain region, AAIHEX 2025 is taking place at ADNEC Centre Al Ain until November 30. With participation from local exhibitors across 14 sectors and thousands more visitors expected over the weekend, excitement continues to build for the upcoming days.
The debut edition of AAIHEX, which has been organised by ADNEC Group, a Modon Company, is a fascinating insight into the UAE’s oasis city, shining a spotlight on the region’s rich hunting heritage. This landmark event is a celebration of Emirati tradition, with visitors invited to take part in authentic experiences and captivating shows at the live arena. By bringing together outdoor enthusiasts to celebrate the country's rich traditions in hunting, falconry, equestrianism and traditional crafts, AAIHEX aims to showcase an authentic experience of Emirati heritage and culture.
AAIHEX 2025 is building on the success of the many hunting and equestrian exhibitions held in Abu Dhabi through interactive displays, thrilling performances and insightful cultural workshops over the course of the five-day event. The second day of the event continued to celebrate the rich tapestry of Emirati heritage, with Arabic coffee taking centre stage at the Al Hadeera feature as a timeless symbol of welcome and community. A workshop demonstrated the art of roasting and preparing Arabic coffee using traditional equipment and methods, offering a unique hands-on journey through this much cherished ritual.
The exhibition’s Arena was bustling with entertaining and educational activities that combined authenticity with enjoyment, offering visitors unique experiences reflecting Emirati heritage and showcasing the skills of hunting and equestrianism. The events included an interactive workshop on training and hunting with the Arabian Saluki, along with a live demonstration of the dog accompanied by a detailed explanation of its characteristics and its role in traditional hunting. The audience also enjoyed a falconry show that simulated real hunting experiences, as well as a specialised workshop on it.
Al Ain Zoo presented an educational session about birds and reptiles, while entertaining segments created a fun atmosphere for children through competitions and interactive activities. The Abu Dhabi Police participated with special performances, including the police band, the K9 police dog unit, and a drone demonstration, in addition to the Yola competition that embodied the spirit of Emirati heritage.
For equestrian enthusiasts, expert Ali Al Ameri delivered a session titled The Art of Understanding the Horse’s Language, introducing the audience to methods of communicating with horses and understanding their behaviour.
The Al Ain Youth Council continued to deliver quality sessions enriching people’s knowledge. On the second day, there were two distinguished sessions - the first was an introductory segment on oral history in collaboration with the Youth Council of the National Archives and Library, discussing the importance of oral history in preserving national memory and documenting cultural heritage, while highlighting the role of the National Archives and Library in collecting interviews, digitising content, and making it accessible to researchers and the public.
This was followed by a lecture on the UAE Hydrogeological Map Project in cooperation with the Youth Council of Abu Dhabi’s Environment Agency, which provided a simplified and interactive explanation of groundwater resource data, aiming to enhance young people’s understanding of the significance of groundwater and its role in environmental sustainability.
Visitors to the exhibition were also enthralled by the impressive array of traditional and contemporary weaponry at the Hunting & Shooting Sports Guns & Equipment Sector, reflecting the cultural significance of hunting in the UAE while promoting the latest innovations in the field. By promoting heritage tourism and supporting local businesses, the sector plays a crucial role in stimulating the national economy and encouraging innovation, all within a safe and regulated environment.
Major industry players including Akela, Tasleeh, Fox, Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club, MP3 International and Baynouna showcased their latest products, from precision rifles and pistols to airsoft and recreational firearms. Their participation highlights the exhibition’s importance as a platform for networking, customer engagement and industry growth. By doing so, AAIHEX underscores the ongoing evolution of hunting and shooting sports in the region, while honouring deep-rooted traditions.
As AAIHEX 2025 continues, momentum is gathering for the days ahead, promising even more opportunities to experience the traditions, talents and entrepreneurial energy at the heart of Al Ain.
